Pastor Aloysius Bugingo has said is estranged wife Teddy Naluswa has a loose mouth, citing it as one of the many reasons why it is impossible for them to reconcile.
Bugingo who is determined to wed a second wife, earlier this week said as a woman with a grandchild, Teddy is wrong to go in the media to expose their dirty linen as married people.
“Teddy spent much time poking her nose in my business and forgot to learn how respectable women should behave. She should have taken a leaf from the reserved women in the Bible,” he said.
“I wonder why she had to abandon the bible to start spending most of her time with enemy pastors, media and the internet which could not fight for her.”
For the last two weeks, Bugingo and Teddy’s embattled marriage has been the talk of town with the House of Prayer Ministries International lead Preacher accusing his wife of conspiring to steal his Church land as well as trying to kill him.
Teddy has since denied the allegations saying that Bugingo is just tarnishing her name simply because she refused to sign the divorce papers.
Bugingo files for divorce
In his divorce application against Teddy, the pastor cites 22 grounds seeking Entebbe Magistrate Court to dissolve his marriage to the mother of their four children.
Bugingo through his lawyers R.M Ruhinda Advocates & Solicitors Limited argue that the marriage of 29 years has been characterized by mistreatment, violence, embarrassment, selfishness and ingratitude.
“The marriage was characterized by mistreatment, embarrassment of the petitioner in the presence of his church members, friends and their children and that the respondent has exhibited cruelty, selfishness and ungrateful attitude towards the petitioner despite the petitioner’s loving and kind deeds, general disposition and words towards the petitioner”, part of the divorce application reads.
Meanwhile, Bugingo is planning to wed his mistress Susan Makula Nantaba in August this year. Makula is also his employee at Salt Radio and TV.
Bugingo started dating her way back in 2016 despite being a married man.
“I have been with Bugingo for 29 years now but our marriage hit a snag in 2016 when he started cheating on me with several women. In 2017 he started to spend nights outside our matrimonial home and in a week, he could spend only one day with his family. When I tried to sit him down over his wrong doing, he blackmailed me by threatening to tell the Church members that my daughter and I wanted to steal Canaan land which was not true,” Teddy said in an interview recently.
In 2018 he decided to leave his matrimonial home in Kitende, along Entebbe Road to stay with Makula in a rented apartment in Lungujja, Rubaga.
