The Bishop of South Ankole diocese, Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe has asked Christians to portray Jesus Christ’s humbleness and humility.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe was among the many Christians who turned up for the walk of the cross in Ntungamo town on Good Friday.
Unlike the previous years when the procession passed through the town, this time round, the way of the cross started at All Saints church Ntungamo, passed at Sacred Heart catholic church to Rukungiri high way up to Karegyeya Hill.
The way of the cross is the principal symbol of the Christian religion, recalling the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the redeeming benefits of his Passion and death.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe also urged believers to use this Easter to repent and forgive those who wronged them just like Jesus who forgave those who crucified him on the cross.
Rev Fr Richard Denis Ssebugwawo the vicar Sacred Heart Ntungamo catholic parish commended the unity and cooperation among Christians during a joint way of the cross procession.
Rev Can Charles Kapson asked believers to renew their faith and desist from being tempted to evil acts which may lead them to hell.
