Comedienne Ann Kansiime has landed a juicy deal with the recently launched ‘East Africa Got Talent’ reality TV series.
The East African version was launched on Tuesday April 9, 2019 in Nairobi Kenya, and Uganda’s Queen of comedy, Kansiime was unveiled as one of the show hosts, alongside Kenya’s radio personality Larry Asego.
Kansiime shared the news on her social media page as she rallied all talented Ugandans to start perfecting their craft for this big platform.
“The famous ‘Got Talent’ reality TV series is coming to East Africa. I am so happy to announce my association with this iconic show which has been lauded as the world’s most successful reality Tv franchise as the host” Kansiime posted.
This show is expected to run for 10 weeks and will be aired on Citizen TV in Kenya, and other Ugandan TV stations that are yet to confirm.
The talent search will see participation from East African Countries like Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
The competition will be graced with talented people in singing, dancing, comedy, and magic, among others and Contestants will go through a three phase competition before getting to the finals.
According to organizers, auditions will be held in the four participating countries, and the winners from the different countries will face off in front of the main judges in Kenya, for the semifinals and finale competition.
The successful six finalists will then battle for the USD50,000 grand prize that is set for the winner.
This reality talent search has featured in over 40 countries worldwide, with the most famous being ‘America’s Got Talent’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
