Imuran Ntambazi Java, a former Gulu University guild president candidate has run to court to have elections halted until his case is heard.
The elections which have been slated for Sunday, April 7.
Ntambazi, a second year student of computer science who subscribes to People Power pressure group, was last month kicked out of the race and blocked from nominations.
Then, the university dean Christopher Mpora claimed that no student should be affiliated to a political party.
Gulu High Court will now hear the case, in which Ntambazi wants court to compel the university to nominate him on Wednesday, April 3.
If nominated, he will join Moses Etyak, Samuel Oyet Agwani, Alexander Okidi and Johnson Nowe.
