Government is in preparations to fly the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga from Agha Khan Hospital in Nairobi, to Spain for further treatment.
Kadaga’s health complications started last week upon her return from New York where she attended the 63rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations headquarters.
When she returned, the Kamuli District Woman MP complained of fatigue-related illness and was rushed to Nakasero Hospital. However, her condition worsened and was airlifted to Nairobi on March 23 for a professional opinion and improved treatment.
However, according to Nile Post news website, exclusive communication has been sent to the Ministry of Finance asking for money to facilitate the transfer of Kadaga from Nairobi to Spain to seek more medication.
According to sources, Kadaga has serious effects on her spinal cord and could most likely require a transplant. The amount of money to facilitate has already been allocated and it will be delivered soon.
