Police in Kayunga is holding a one Walakira Abdu,26 for stealing car number plates.
The suspect is a resident of Namagabi , Sajabi Zone in Kayunga.
Sezibwa Regional Police Spokesperson, Hellen Butoto confirmed the development.
“He has been arrested from his house after a member of the public alerted us that he is the one behind the stealing number plates from motor vehicles. After plugging of number off plates,he then asks for money from the owners of the vehicles,”said Butoto.
“Police searched his house and break-in equipment were found plus one number plate whereas other number plates were found in his toilet with the help of fire brigade to get the other number plates from the toilet.”
