The national chairman of National Resistance Movement (NRM) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to meet his party top leadership over Constitutional amendments.
According to a document signed by Museveni, members of the Central Executive Committee are called urgently to attend this five-day retreat without fail. The meeting will start on Friday, February 15 to Wednesday, February 20 at Chobe Safari Lodge.
Other matters to be discussed are; the party Ideology and strategy, the economy of the country, and the party resource mobilisation.
The expected members to attend are the two national vice-chairmen, vice-chairpersons; Eastern, Central, Northern, Western region and Kampala.
Since last week the party chairman has been meeting different members of NRM.
Last week, he met the NRM members of the Parliament at State House Entebbe.
They reportedly discussed Constitutional amendment as well as the NRM electoral road-map as well as the Kampala Capital City Authority Bill.
Museveni is said to have advised them to hold on before passing it.
The KCCA Bill suggests that Lord Mayor will be elected by a group of councilors at the council, yet the current one is elected by the people of Kampala.
Also, at the beginning of this week, all NRM local district chairpersons were called in Kyankwanzi, where they waited for the party chairman who was on official duty in Ethiopia.
