The 2018 Uganda Certificate of Education results were released on Thursday, with remarkable improvement in performance across the country. According to Uganda National Examinations Board chairperson Mary Okwakol, out of the 335,435 candidates who sat for the exams in 2018, 27,696 students passed in division one, 52,706 in division two, 70,347 in the third division while 137,058 were graded in the fourth division. Those who failed are 42,334.
Education Minister Janet Museveni said the results this year confirm a steady progress in overall performance, girl child attendance and the commitment of all stakeholders to equip the children with better education.
