Police in Kabale has arrested four suspects for allegedly stealing cattle and 12 goats.
The notorious thieves were arrested by patrollers on the morning of Tuesday, January 22 at Butobere, a kilometre to Kabale township. They were driving a dark blue Premio registration number UAH 276W with their loot.
They are Naboth Ahimbisibwe 32, the driver and Danson Tindimwebwa, 32 both of Kebisoni town council, Rukungiri. Others are Edson Byamukama 33, of Kiguha cell Nyakagyeme subcounty Rukungiri as well as Ivan Sebuliba 43,of Kyabakuza township in Masaka District.
Upon interrogation at Kabale Central Police Station, the suspects revealed that they had stolen the goats from about five homes in Nyarushanje, Rukungiri district and were taking them to Kabale for sale.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson confirmed the news.
A case has been registered at Kabale Central Police Station under file number Kabale SD 11/22/01/2019.
