First Deputy Prime Minister Kirunda Kivejinja has advised Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi famously known as Bobi Wine to give up on his dream of running for president.
He said the youthful legislator should leave the bid to elders.
Saying this, Kivejinja was at attending Asuman Basalirwa’s thanksgiving ceremony celebrating his win in the recent Bugiri Municipality elections.
The function took place on Saturday.
However, Bobi Wine who was also in attendance revealed that elders like the minister are not enemies of the youth citing that both parties can co-exist peacefully.
“As I’ve been saying, elders like Kivejinja are not our enemies. We look to them for advice and guidance. We can co-exist; we can have peaceful assemblies if the police do not interfere with our lawful activities,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bobi Wine has not come out openly to express his interest to stand against President Yoweri Museveni in the next presidential elections in 2021.
