Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi on Christmas Eve visited and delivered packages to homeless people of Lusanja.
The Christmas package delivered by Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine included food and a cow.
According to Bobi Wine, although the evictees lost their property, its necessary for them to have decent meals with their children.
“It is sign of humanity to share with them. We know they are homeless, but at least they will have nice meals with their children on this Christmas day,” said Bobi Wine.
In October this year, in Lusanja, Wakiso, businessman Medard Kiconco on court orders and with the help of armed police officers, evicted hundreds of people and in the process destroyed their property.
They have been living in tents offered by the Office of the Prime Minister.
Court has since said it was a mistake to evict them.
Since the incident happened, Bobi Wine has on several occasions helped them.
“I encourage those of us who are able, to use this season to reach out to those who are less fortunate, the homeless and sick, the impoverished and prisoners. We give not because we have a lot, but because we know how it feels to have nothing,” he added
