City socialite Bryan Kirumira is not about to stop hogging the limelight in the aftermath of the tragic boat accident on Saturday.
Popularly known as Bryan White, mystery moneybags has pledged to support the family of Bosco Oryoch who died while trying to save revellers who were on the ill-fated MV Templar boat.
It is reported that after the boat accident near Mutima Beach in Mukono, Oryoch sailed on his canoe to save some of the victims screaming for help. Several of them tried to get onto the canoe and it tipped over, killing those who were already onboard and Oryoch.
On Thursday morning, Brian, who has been camped at the rescue site since Sunday, met the family members of Oryoch and promised to help and empower them.
Oryoch was a breadwinner for his family.
Bryan White posted on his Facebook page, “Today morning, I met the family of our brother who lost his life in the struggle of rescuing our fellow brothers and sisters from boat that capsized on lake Victoria . This young man had a family of five that included three children, his wife and the wife’s mother. I will be meeting with the rest of the family today to see how I can help and empower them. RIP to the fallen Hero.”
For time he as spent at Mutiima beach, Brian has taken over command of the rescue mission, previously ordering locals to pull the boat wreckage manually, using ropes. A picture of him aboard a marine vessel issuing instruction to the army and police has also surfaced leading to questions about his intentions.
