Pastors in the country were on Saturday advised to invest for retirement and to make various sources of incomes.
The call was made by Bishop Aloysious Kiiza of Lift up Global Ministries during the launching of Riverside Resort and Camping Site in Nyabikoni, Kabale Municipality.
Bishop Kiiza said most pastors in the country retire when poor materially without any backing financial support..
“It’s absurd to find you don’t have any other source of income after retirement,” Bishop Kiiza said.
According to Bishop Kiiza, Riverside Resort Camping Site will host be hosting parties of all kinds, meetings, tourists and so many other activities.
Break the dependency spirit
The man of God said that there’s a tendency of over dependency after retirement, which was unnecessary and burdening .
“I care for my parents, children, uncles, and it’s a bid dependency burden “Kiiza said.
He called on parents not to see their children as source of investment, saying it burdens children alot.
He advised them to educate their children and invest for the future.
Seven fruit trees were planted at the hotel in a move to conserve nature.
