Susan Namata, the girl accused of abusing the President is set to reappear in court today, Thursday.
Namata was sent to Luzira Prisons on Wednesday after denying allegations of misusing electronic communication to transmit the videos offensive in nature via Whatsapp.
It’s alleged that in August, while in Kampala and Wakiso districts, Namata together with others still at large, recorded a video in which they referred to President Museveni as “buttocks,” faeces and also threatened to “throw their private parts in his teeth” if he doesn’t order for Bobi Wine’s release from Makindye Military Barracks.
Namata, 21, is a resident of Najjeera in Kira municipality.
This is not the first time someone has been accused of annoying the person of the Presidnet. In 2017, a local artiste was remanded to Luzira Prison on charges of uttering offensive communication against President Museveni.
Mr David Mugema, 31, and his music producer Jonah Muwanguzi 23, appeared before Buganda Road Court after they ‘ repeatedly composed, recorded, produced and electronically communicated through social media a song titled Wumula, wherein they attacked and disturbed the peace of President Museveni without a legitimate reason.
