Uganda’s football governing body, FUFA has submitted names of 23 referees to be considered for the 2019 FIFA badges.
The revelation has been made by Ronnie Kalema, the Chairman Uganda Foootball Referees Association.
According to Kalema, the list was derived on after mandatory fitness tests by referees and approval from FUFA Executive Committee.
The list was reached on after the mandatory fitness tests then presented to the FUFA Executive Committee for approval’ said Chairman Uganda Football Referees Association Ronnie Kalema.
Proposed list;
Referees (Men): Brian Miiro Nsubuga, Ssali Mashood, Alex Muhabi, Ali Chelangat Sabilla and William Oloya
Assistant referees (Men); Mark Ssonko, Dick Okello, Ronald Katenya, Lee Okello , Musa Ngobi Balikoowa and Issa Masembe .
Referees (Women): Shamirah Nabadda, Diana Murungi, Florence Ayaro
Assistant referees (Women); Lydia Nantabo Wanyama, Catherine Cynthia Nagaddya , Marex NakittoNkumbi, Jane Mutonyi and Eunice Tiwuwe .
Beach Soccer: Ivan Bayige Kintu, Shafic Mugerwa, Muhammad Ssenteza and Kennedy Kawagga Bazirio
Currently Uganda has 21 referees with FIFA badges for the year 2018.
