Police in Kabale District is investigating circumstances under which a 72-year-old man was allegedly murdered.
The deceased, Jack Buturoha of Rugarama two village, Kavu parish Maziba Sub-county Kabale District was allegedly murdered on Sunday night about 300 meters away from his home by yet unknown assailants.
It’s alleged that the deceased was on Monday morning ( 22/10/18) found in a pool of blood, pierced with a sharp object in the neck and had cuts on the head.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesperson told Watchdog Uganda that Police was notified by the wife of the deceased, Joy Akampurira.
The 49-year-old has been held to help the Police in investigations together with her son, Brave Manzi, Richard Kuribakanya, Robert Mwesigwa and Edison Turyakira.
According to Maate, it’s alleged that the couple were known to have domestic problems for long and on Sunday evening were together in a bar at Ahambungo trading Centre.
“Akampurira could not properly account for how they separated and where she spent the night,” he said.
This case has been registered at Maziba police post SD 3/22/10/2918 as investigations continue.
