Bank of Uganda (BoU) and Deposit Protection Fund (DPF) have today Monday launched ‘My Money’ public awareness campaign.
The campaign is aimed at raising awareness about the DPF, a body established to protect depositors’ funds held in the Supervised Financial Institutions as well as supporting key the areas in the financial sector such as Credit Reference Services, Deposit Protection and Financial Literacy.
According to BoU Deputy Governor Louis Kasekende, the campaign will also create awareness about the World Savings Day that is celebrated on October 31, 2018.
“Uganda will join the rest of the world in marking the Saving Day, and Ugandans shall under the theme “SAVE WITH A PLAN,” be encouraged to increase their savings,” said Kasekende.
