The Omukama of Bunyoro Kingdom, Solomon Gafabusa Iguru, on Sunday appointed a new cabinet.
In January this year, the king dissolved his entire cabinet as he looked forward to change the system under which one of the oldest monarchies will run for the next 30 years.
The Omukama had set up a seven-member task force headed by Edgar Isingoma, a senior partner in KPMG, an international audit firm, to establish management and administrative structures in an institution that has been running without clear systems.
After dissolution, Omukama appointed a petroleum geoscientist and an accomplished management specialist, Andrew Byakutaga, as the new prime minister replacing Norman Lukumu.
In the new cabinet, Byakutaga has been reappointed as prime minister; Nyendwoha Mutiti has been appointed 1st Prime Minister and Prince Rwamparo Apollo as the 2nd Prime Minister and Tourism.
Others appointed are, Edgar Agaba as Attorney General, Owagoza Robert as Minister of Finance, Kasangaki Dinah as Minister of Gender, Byaruhanga Jackson as Minister of Natural Resources, Prince Daudi Chwa as Minister of Investment, Dr. Asiimwe Florence as Minister of Social services, Katahoire Philip as Minister of External Relations, Wairindi Wilson as Minister of Production, Prince Kitehimbwa Richard for Palace Affairs and Katende Patrick for Special Duties.
