URA FC play host to new comers Ndejje University at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole on Friday.
The tax collectors begin the match in sixth, one point ahead of their opponents who lie in 10th courtesy of their good start to the season.
Sam Ssimbwa’s side played to a goalless drwa last time against Express Fc after winning their opening league fixture at Namboole against other new comers Paidha Black Angels. While Ndejje were resillient and showed good composure against champions Vipers SC on the opening day falling at the final hurdle but recovering well to win last time out at home.
Komaketch’s students put on a near-perfect display at home to Nyamityobora last time out winning by a single goal to nil against the western Uganda outfit. Noel Nasasira, Francis Onekalit and Dickens Kalama and Sam Matovu have been impressive on the offence for the University side.
But goal keeper James Alitho who will be making his debut after his transfer from Vipers will have Patrick Mbowa, Hudu Mulikyi, Julius Mutyaba and Yeseeri Waibi to keep him company and ensure they keep Ndejje at bay while maintaining their perfect defensive showing so far.
Ssimbwa will back on Vitalis Tabu who has hit the ground running with two goals, Saidi Kyeyune, Nyanzi Abdallah and Mukongotya Robert to test the resillience of the University side’s defence led by inspirational captain Edward Kabona.
The two sides have never met in a league fixture and there will be a case of the unknown tactically though the players might have a thing or two they know about each other.
URA FC has amassed four points in their last four Premier League games, scoring two goals while keeping a perfect defensive record in the process. Ssimbwa will not be under any immediate pressure, and he will see friday’s visit by the students as a must win.
