City Oilers on Wednesday defeated Betway Power 81 – 73 to lift a sixth successive title at a packed MTN Arena.
Oilers, defending champions coming into Game five of the best of seven finals were the better side on the night.
Jimmy Enabu scored a game high 18 points while James Okello made 16 points and 12 rebounds as Oilers swept the series 4-1. Landry Ndikumana had 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Power, who won game one of the finals 85-66 but lost the next three games, came into game five needing to win in order to stay alive. Stephen Wundi and Isaac Afridra scored 11 points each as Power rallied to win a second game. Paul Odong scored two more points than his teammates in the losing effort.
Oilers’ latest championship puts the Mandela Group sponsored club at Six, level with Power.
