The National Organizing Committee of the Uganda WASH media awards (UMWA) has announced this year’s nominees.
The Awards are a deliberate effort to promote coverage of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) issues in the local, national and international media and have a positive influence on decision-makers, the private sector, the civil society as well as individuals.
The UWMAs were launched in 2016 and this year’s edition is the third one.
The winners for each of the eight categories will be recognized and awarded at a gala dinner that will be held on 26th October 2018 at Imperial Royale Hotel.
UMWA is an initiative of the Ministry of Water and Environment together with Civil Society Organizations in the Water Sanitation and Hygiene Sector, to reward excellent reporting on WASH related issues in Uganda.
