The Star-Times Uganda Premier League Match Day 3 returns this evening with three games.
Police host Express, Tooro United take on Kirinya Jinja S.S at Kavumba and BUL versus Paidha Black Angles (PBA) in Jinja.
Under Coach Abdullah Mubiru, Police- also league winners in 2005 – hope that the two games they have lost against Bul (2-1) and Paidha Black Angels (2-1) are lesson enough for them to pick up their leg coverings and return to winning ways.
But for that to come to pass, they must start by today’s game as they host Express Fc who have made rigorous changes in management and players recruitment this season at Star Times Stadium Lugogo.
“Always, the beginning of the season is not good for some teams. The same applies to my side. But it’s still early to judge our potential,” said Mubiru who joined Police FC in 2016.
But to Express Fc head coach Kefa Kisala, chances to realize their first victory this season are also determined by today’s game after drawing with URA (0-0) and losing to Mbarara City earlier this month.
Kisala just like Mubiru’s side Police, haven’t won any a game this season and their opening game of the season too ended in a total humiliation of (3-1) defeat.
Elsewhere, BUL hosts league debutants Paidha Black Angles at Njeru Technical center, Jinja while Tooro United hosts Kirinya Jinja S.S at Kavumba stadium Wakiso.
