Police in Kabale district is investigating circumstances under which a 40 years old man was murdered by his own wife.
The deceased, Gidion Mbabazi of Ahakabungo village Buramba parish Rubaya subcounty Kabale district was on Friday night allegedly hit with a hoe on the head by Adrine Bebwine Alias Musinguzi of 35 years.
It’s alleged that when the deceased came from drinking,he found the family asleep, developed a quarrel and in the process he got a hoe to hit the wife but was overpowered and was hit with the same hoe dead outside the house.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesperson told watchdog Uganda that after the incident, she reported herself to the area local council chairperson Mr Christmas Twebaze who led her to Rubaya police where she’s detained.
Maate has condemned all acts of violence in families.
This case has been registered at Rubaya police under file number SD 02/13/10/2018.
