Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine has hinted on becoming President Yoweri Museveni’s friend.
During an interview with Citizen Television’s Jeff Koinange on Wednesday night, Bobi Wine said he can actually be friends with Museveni if he upholds the will of Ugandans.
“Do you see a day when you and Museveni would be friends?” asked Koinange.
In response, the legislator said, “Sure, I wanna be friends with President Museveni especially if he respects the will of Ugandans. There is nothing personal between me and President Museveni. I’ve already told you that I have respect for him as a father and in fact as a grandfather. But again he should know that me and him are equal before and under the law.”
Bobi Wine who is Kenya on the invitation of Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino also said President Museveni was on the right course before he was consumed with the effects of absolute power.
He said Museveni disrespected Ugandans by telling them bluntly that he is nobody’s servant.
“The people of Uganda are here to remind him that he is supposed to be a servant of the people; we are not supposed to fear him, he is supposed to fear us,” he said.
Rather than a “boss leader”, Bobi Wine said that what Uganda needs now is a servant leader adding that whichever way the Ugandan situation ends, Museveni will be out of State House.
Babu Owino is almost another Bobi Wine in Kenya who gives sleepless nights to Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The youthful legislator was born in October, 1989 in a city slum of Kondele in Kisumu. He is the longest serving chairman of student union in Kenya.
