Women took over day-two of the National Beach Soccer League to showcase their skills at Lido Beach, Entebbe. This follows a new regulation that requires Women Beach Soccer League to be played on the same match days and venues with their male counterparts.
As spectators were awaiting the male teams, Talented Ladies team battled Muteesa 1 Royal University. The university side defeated their opponents 7-0.
Habibah Nakayobyo scored a brace while Sharon Namatovu scored four. Margret Namirimu added another.
The thrills of victory and agony of defeat just called for more attention towards the second game and by the time Katuuso Community came in to play Triplets Ghetto Kids, no fan wished for a male team to come onto the sand.
The second game ended 05 -01 in favor of Katuuso Community. Nabirah Nakitto, Fatumah Akasumba each scored one while Nuluh Nakyanzi added three for Katuuso. Shakirah Kabayaga scored Triplets Ghetto Kids’ consolation.
