WAKISO. A man described as the ‘prime suspect’ in the murder former Buyende police Commander, Muhammad Kirumira has been arraigned in Makindye court and charged with murder.
Abubaker Kalungi, 47 years, was arrested in the ongoing military and police swoop in which another man, Abdul Kateregga was killed last week.
President Museveni recently congratulated security for their intelligence and eventual killing of Kateregga who he said was fleeing arrest.
Kalungi, a carpenter and a resident of Mirimu zone- KIbutika Ndejje was on Thursday charged with two counts of murder- that of Kirumira and Resty Naalinya. The two were killed in Bulenga Wakiso on September.
Grade One Magistrate Mr. Martin KIrya, told Kalungi his court did not have the jurisdiction to try him other mentioning his case. He then adjourned the case to October 19 for further mention and sent Kalungi to Kigo Prisons.
