Former NTV journalist Dean Saava Lubowa was earlier today detained at Central Police Station in Kampala over offences of human trafficking and obtaining money by false pretence.
According to reliable sources, Lubowa was first arrested and released earlier this year after a group of girls accused him of defrauding them.
In the latest incident, the second in five months, 12 girls have pinned the 35-year-old Lubowa for taking their money on pretence that he was to get jobs abroad. He lured them through an unregistered company called Global Skills International Ltd and thereafter allegedly disappeared and stopped picking their calls. The first group comprised 30 girls.
Eight others who ended up in Middle East are stranded.
By the time of his arrest, complainants valued the money he owed them to about sh240 million.
