Minister of Security Gen Elly Tumwine has accused the media of being part of the security problem in Uganda.
Gen Tumwine made the allegation on Thursday during a press conference at the Prime Minister’s Office in Kampala.
He said media is the leading cause of insecurity in Uganda since its no longer patriotic and it’s being used to fight government.
He further alleged that NGOs are paying journalists to write bad stories about the government and they don’t mind about tainting the image of their country.
