Sheikh Ramathan Mubajje, the Mufti of Uganda and the management of Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) have organised a special nationwide prayer aiming at praying for the souls of departed Muslims most especially those murdered by unknown assailants.
The Muslims will also pray for peace in Uganda as well as for leaders to fight the acts of insecurity.
The prayer is slated for 14, September, 2018.
Mubajje has appealed to all imams, county Sheikhs, district Kadhis, and regional Kadhis to organise this activity in their respective mosques of jurisdiction though the national prayer will be held at the National Mosque Old Kampala Gaddafi National Mosque.
According to UMSC Spokesperson, Haj Nsereko Mutumba, the prayer is not for cursing perpetrators as some speculators allege.
The special prayer comes days after the murder of former Buyende District DPC Muhammad Kirumira who was gunned down last weekend by assailants as he returned to his home in Bulenga.
