Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine told international journalists that Ugandans are tired of Yoweri Museveni, the country’s current President.
Bobi Wine who is in USA for specialized treatment after alleged torture, revealed this while in a press conference where he briefed the international media such as CNN, BBC, Fox news, the Guardian on current situation after torture, the developing situation in Uganda among others.
He said Museveni has been in power for too long that most people of his (Bobi Wine) age have only seen one president thus calling upon the youth in Uganda to rise and defend their rights and dignity by helping Museveni out of power.
“I was tortured by Special Forces Soldiers during the Arua fracas, I was injected with many substances that I don’t know but I don’t want to be seen as a victim but a survivor and am appearing before you against the advice of my doctors and family,” Bobi told the media in company of his international lawyer Robert Amsterdam.
Asked when he will return to Uganda, the legislator noted that as soon as he gets better he will return home because Uganda is his only country.
“When my doctors say am fit, i will be glad to return home,” said Bobi Wine.
On the other hand, his lawyer Amsterdam lashed out at the Ugandan government for accusing Bobi Wine of being funded by foreign countries.
He said the legislator has no foreign funders.
Amsterdam instead revealed that Museveni is the one who is funded by USA to accomplish hidden missions in Somalia, South Sudan and other countries of Africa.
