The Ntungamo woman MP Beatrice Rwakimaari has commended youth in the country that have come up with good ideas to start their own income generating projects instead of waiting for government.
According to Rwakimaari it is a good idea for the youth to embrace their own projects which will entice government to come for them on technical and financial support.
“The bus takes people who are waiting for it at bus stopover (stage) but it cannot find you in your homes noting the even rain destroys what it finds in the compound,” said Rwakimaari.
She noted that government and development partners will continue supporting organized youth groups since Uganda has many Universities and Tertially institutions where over 10,000 students graduate every year and they cannot be taken up by few employers in the country.
Rwakimaari made the remarks while handing over 150 chicks to Kiruhuura Youth Farm in Kahengye Nyamunuuka Town council Kajara county Ntungamo district.
Nabaasa Norman the chairman Kiruhuura Youth Farm noted that the group of 20 members was started in January 2015 aimed at equipping youth with skills which will enable them to be self reliant and avoid idleness.
One of the members Byaruhanga Moses hailed Hon Rwakimaari for donating to them chicks and pledged to look after them carefully.
