Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre has named the 24 man team that enters residential camp at Jokas Hotel, Kireka on Monday evening.
The national team trained once again at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo on Monday for close to two hours.
The basis of the training session was on ball work, stamina and endurance.
Three new faces joined the team.These included Sudan based goalkeeper Salim Jamal, Godfrey Walusimbi and Edrisa Lubega.
‘We are all set for the match against Tanzania. Since we qualified and played at the last AFCON, all our focus is on making it again. We call upon the fans to rally behind the team’ goalie Jamal noted.
Addressing the media after the training session, Zambian based left winger Joseph Ochaya expressed the need to win the home game against Tanzania;
‘We have played with our neighbours Tanzania in many games and such matches are close. We are set this time round to win this match because it is crucial for us in this campaign’ Ochaya told the media.
Meanwhile, more foreign based players are expected in the country and shall attend the training on Tuesday at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Captain Denis Onyango, Derrick Nsibambi, William Luwagga Kizito, Allan Kateregga, Yunus Sentamu, Moses Opondo and Faruku Miya are expected to join camp soon.
