It was Bebe Cool’s worst night on stage, one he will never forget.
The Ugandan singer with stage dominance for two decades, received the worst reception at Lugogo Cricket Oval as Swangz Avenue celebrated their 10 years in the music industry with an All Starz concert.
Bebe Cool arrived on stage around 10pm and as he started performing his I Love You Every day hit song, shouts from the audience demanded he leaves the stage.
The singer continued performing but had to terminate the performance as bottles rained on stage, threatening his safety.
It is understood that Bebe Cool, one of Uganda’s best musician, was hounded off the stage because of his association with the sitting government and his criticism of Bobi Wine, a musician turned politician, now said to be a top power contender against President Museveni.
Bobi Wine left Uganda last night for Washington DC where he will undergo treatment, for ailments visited on him by state agents.
The behaviour of fans has been criticised by music lovers who are disappointed with voices taking politics into the entertainment industry.
