State Minister for Privatization and Investments Evelyn Anite recently returned to Uganda from her study leave in USA.
Last month, It was reported that Anite was given a forced study leave by President Yoweri Museveni on allegations that she took $8 million bribe from some investors in UTL recapitalization saga.
It was further alleged that she could have been sacked and that sending her on a forced study leave was just a cover up.
However, it seems that the allegation was just mere speculation since after landing in Uganda, Anite resumed her official duties.
Posting on his Facebook page, the President’s spokesperson Don Wanyama said; “With Hon Evelyn Anite at the new National Cement Factory (Simba Cement) factory in Tororo. President Museveni will commission the new factory, that employs 500 people, this afternoon,”
