The country director for Build Africa Uganda Mr Anselm Wandera has advised parents to get time and be involved in their children’s education life.
Speaking this,Wandera was giving his remarks during the stakeholders reflection and learning meeting on the role of Social accountability in empowering the quality of universal primary education in Uganda that was held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
Wandera noted that parents should esure that the children eat well and sleep early to enable them learn well.
“This school has a total of 900 pupils. But when it come to the time of harvesting, you find like 500 pupils in the whole school due to the fact that their parents have taken them to thegardens.” Added Wandera.
On this note he advised parents to always get ample time for their children to enable them get to know the pupils educaation booms and depressions
He also advised the government to increase on the amount of money that can be used for school inspection to enable it realize the loopholes which are happening in schools at an early stage.
Reverand Edward Kirya, the distric education officer of Kiryandongo district said that this was a great platform to raise up the concerns of the youngstars since they are the future of the world.
It is on this note that Reverand Kirya urged all the discussants to open up their minds towards preparing the best for the young ones
According to thAfrica MDG report of 2015,Uganda has expanded to primary education by 27% of which 23.1 are male while 32.6 are female.
