Ntungamo District woman MP Beatrice Rwakimaari is calling for tolerance and unity amongst politicians during and after elections period.
Rwakimaari appealed to all local council chairpersons and other political leaders to always avoid hate speech, conflicts and discrimination based on religion and tribe instead serve all people regardless of their political affiliations.
She expressed concern over post-election hatred and conflicts amongst electorate which is caused by politicians especially in Ntungamo district where some leaders accuse each other of fuelling plan to un popular them.
‘’Voters you should stop post-election hatred with neighbours because of different ideology yet their leaders they can sit together on same table for a cup of tea’’ Rwakimaari said.
The Ntungamo District boss Singahache Denis asked those who lost in the just concluded local council elections to concede the defeat and adhere to the principles of democracy until next term.
He is now advising general public to desist from any kind of conflict on order to promote development in their areas.
