Police in kisoro district is investigating circumstances under which a 16 years old girl was murdered by mob.
The deceased identified as Nyiranshuti Meran of Nyabune village Murora sub county in Kisoro district was murdered on Friday after being found in possession of suspected stolen beans.
Police was notified by Murora sub county Gomborora internal security officer (GISO) Mr Bernard Safari, which immediately visited the scene and the body was taken to Kisoro hospital mortuary where postmortem was done on Saturday and handed over to relatives for burial.
The Kigezi region Police spokesperson Elly maate has confirmed the news, adding that Inquiries are underway.
This case has been registered at Kisoro police station under file number CRB 666/2018.
