Brian Isiko is to spend two year behind bars after pleading guilty for stalking and felling for Sylvia Rwabwogo, the Kabarole Woman Member of Parliament.
The 25 year old student at YMCA Jinja Branch pleaded guilty to charges of cyber harassment and offensive communication before Buganda Road Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu on Thursday.
Isiko who used to send love messages to the MP he has never met physically, revealed that it was the passionate love he felt for the legislator that forced him to stalk her.
Kamasanyu sentenced him to two-years on the count of cyber harassment and to nine-months for offensive communication – both sentences to run concurrently.
Rwabwogo told court that she started getting these love messages and calls from a stranger during the controversial Constitution Amendment Bill fracas last year which made her think that someone wanted to hurt her.
