The Uganda People Defence Forces (UPDF) on Saturday allegedly discovered sophisticated spying technology equipment and boxes full of ammunitions at incarcerated former IGP Kale Kayihura’s home in Muyenga.
The raid and search mission was conducted in the presence of Gen Salim Saleh and Lt. Gen Wilson Mbadi, the Deputy Chief of UPDF.
It was reported that Gen. Kayihura had procured the spying equipment from Algeria and he used it to track down public figures especially politicians.
During the same search, the army also found millions of cash in different currencies such as Euros, UK pounds, US dollars, South Africa rands among others.
Kayihura was last week arrested from Kashagama, Lyantonde before being detained at the Makindye military prison.
