URA football club has this morning unveiled Sam Simbwa as new head coach.
Speaking at the unveiling function that took place at the URA head offices in Nakawa, the chairman for the club Mr James Kiiza said that Simbwa has been appointed to manage the club for the next three seasons along side the clubs experienced and successful coaches.
Simbwa is expected to work with Mukasa Robert as the assistant coach,Kiggundu Steven as the assistant coach goal keeper and Nsumba Augustine also an assistant coach.
“Simbwa loves the team. He has passion and I believe he will work towards winning the trophy” Noted Kiiza.
Prior to his role,Simbwa has been head coach for Soana FC,Express FC,SC villa,Mbale Heroes, Police (Rwanda)and many more including Kenya’s Sofapaka FC.
Simbwa replaces Paul Nkata who resigned from URA FC on 24th April 2018.
In his speach about joining the club, Simbwa said that he is happy to be with a club that yarns for trophies.
He added that he resigned from Sofapaka that he found in relegation and managed to end second on the table. To his surprise, the team was not ambitious towards winning.
On this note Simbwa promised to work jointly with club management towards the success of the team
