A 21-year-old man on June 6 narrowly survived being lynched by an angry mob after he killed his boss in Muko cell Rushozi parish Rubaya sub county Kashari, Mbarara district.
Police investigations reveal that the suspected killer Amos Muhwezi, 21 of Rubanda district allegedly murdered his boss Fred Mugarura, 50 by cutting him severely on the head, arms and chest before he was rushed to Mbarara Regional referral hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Rwizi Regional Police Spokesperson Samson Kasasira confirmed the development, saying that Muhwezi narrowly survived being lynched by the mob but a Good Samaritan drove him from Muko and dropped him at Biharwe police.
It’s alleged that Muhwezi decided to kill his boss for refusing to pay him his Sh250,000 which he had wanted to facilitate him travel to Rubanda district for a funeral of his relative.
Police appealed to all people to stop taking laws into their hands and advised bosses pay their workers in time and avoid unnecessary delays.
The murder case has been registered as CRB1992/18.
