Police in Kabale district has arrested a 19 years old man who allegedly stabbed and injured an SFC soldier in the stomach Stephen Kangiriho in the night of 02/05/18.
According to police, the suspect who has been on the run since then is Tusingwire Joshua a driver and resident of Muhamya village Nyarwanya parish Rubare Sub County Ntungamo district.
The Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate says the suspect was arrested on 05/06/18 from his hideout in Kanyahunde village Nyarwanya parish Rubare Sub County.
Maate says the two developed a misunderstanding while they were for a social night at California P and J transit hotel along the highway at Kigongi cell Kabale Municipality.
He adds the suspect will be arraigned before courts of law once inquiries are complete. The case is registered at Kabale police station file number CRB 1001/2018.
Kangiriho was among the advanced team of soldiers guarding the Minister for Education and Sports also First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni.
