Former Member of Parliament for Rwampara Constituency Vincent Kyamadidi early today was arrested in Rukungiri for allegedly inciting violence and bribing voters.
Kyamadidi was arrested from Nyarushanje Sub County during the voting process for Rukungiri Woman MP on Thursday.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed the development.
He said Kyamadidi who belongs to FDC party was bribing voters and inciting violence at a polling station called Sayuni SDA Church in Nyarushanje.
Currently, he is being detained at Ntugamo Police Station.
