In February this year, Vodafone Uganda was placed under administration after going through a rough business patch which has led to the closure of some of its stores and a fall in revenue.
The High Court (civil division) had appointed lawyer Donald Nyakairu as interim administrator of Afrimax, the 4g LTE communications partner of Vodafone Uganda.
Now information reaching us indicates that the internet provider has decided to call it a quit thus closing down operations in Uganda.
According to Techjaja.com, Vodafone Uganda ‘s liabilities outweighed its asset portfolio and thus the creditors voted to have its assets liquidated.
Vodafone the parent company at the start of the year was forced to terminated its branding agreement with Afrimax after the precedent was set about its failing balance sheet.
