The shooting of ‘27 Guns’ movie at parliament is set to end today after taking three days in process.
On Friday,Parliament informed the general public not to panic when they hear gunshots around the precincts of and inside the Parliamentary building.
The alert was issued by the Parliament Director Communication and Public Relations, Chris Obore, who revealed that this will all be part of an ongoing film production.
Obore said that a number of unusual activities will take place at Parliament and the surrounding areas which will include increased movement of people along the roads, presence of actors in military fatigue and equipment.
Obore said, these activities are by Isaiah 60 Production, a local film company based in Kampala which was sanctioned by all the relevant authorities including Parliament, Uganda Police Force and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
The shooting activities at parliament started on 9th March 2018 and are expected to end today within the precincts of Parliament and the surrounding roads.
The Movie Production Company Isaiah 60 is jointly owned by First Daughter Natasha Karugire, and her cousin sister Esteri Akandwanaho.
It is anticipated that these will be shooting their first Project, an English feature film named 27 guns which will be telling the story of President Yoweri Museveni’s capture of power in 1986.
