The Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura has called on Police Officers to embrace team work in thier day to day dutiess.
Gen. Kayihura made the remarks during the closing ceremony of the two day Police Council meeting at Marine base in Kigo Wakiso district.
“We have done a lot of good work we have made resolutions now its time to put words into actions and get things done,” he said;
“Let’s hit the ground running effective 1st March in implementing our 13 strategic plans,I expect that we move as a winning team based on what we have agreed on the two days we spent here ,we have agreed on a plan which we must execute all of us, lets know know our roles.” The IGP urged .
“We should compliment each other to deliver , we must be coordinated, there’s nobody here who works alone, so we have to redeem the image of the force and ultimately your image at individual professional level and take discipline and integrity as a key,”
He also tasked the Directorate of Research Planning and Management to implement plans and evaluate that the resolutions made.
The meeting was attended by all Directors, heads of units, District Police Commanders and Region Police Commanders.
