Democratic Party (DP) has revealed that singer Ronald Mayinja does not belong to the opposition party as alleged by some people.
Mayinja who claims to be belonging to the oldest opposition party over the weekend shocked fellow opposition members when he went to Kiboga to entertain guests during the NRM age limit victory party.
The party’s Secretary General Gerald Siranda while addressing journalists on Tuesday, said they have crossed checked in the party’s records and Mayinja is listed nowhere as a member.
He said apart from hobnobbing with some party members who were suspended from the party over indiscipline, they don’t know the singer as their member.
‘’Apart from seeing Mayinja sidelining with those members who were chased away from the party for being indiscipline, we do not know Ronald Mayinja,” Siranda said.
“We do not stop Mayinja from singing for any party or any function but not the one of age limit where some of the members of parliament who are his best friends nearly survived being murdered.’’ He added.
