The Chief of Defence Forces Gen. David Muhoozi has today 27th Feb 2018 met with the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General in DR Congo Mr David Gressly at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs headquarters–Mbuya hill.
Mr. Gressly was accompanied by the head of MONUSCO office in Beni, DRC Mr Warner Ten Kate.
The meeting focused on the current heightened operations against Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in Eastern DRC and finding possible ways of working together in supporting the DRC Forces to stop the mayhem caused by ADF in Eastern DRC.
Mr David Gressly thanked the Ugandan leadership and their counterparts in DRC for working together in conducting joint operations that recently saw the destruction of many ADF camps.
“The recent areal and artillery bombardment by Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) inflicted heavy casualties on ADF and we shall continue to give the Congolese forces (FRDC) enough logistic,”
