Vipers Sports Club have looked a better team this year judging from the three competitive games that the team has played so far.
A scintillating performance in the Uganda Cup to eliminate SC Bronken followed by spirited displays against Soana FC and Onduparaka FC in the league paint the picture.
Midfielder and assistant captain Tadeo Lwanga believes if they can carry on with the same spirit exhibited against Onduparaka FC, the Venoms will be a hard but to crack.
“The team showed great character and personality on Tuesday against Onduparaka and that’s what we want to continue with in the games to come, ” he said.
With the Venoms returning to action today against Police FC in the Uganda Cup, Lwanga is optimistic for yet another brilliant performance from the team.
“We’re very excited and hopefully we can put in a good performance. Police FC are a fantastic team and we are looking forward to the challenge.” Lwanga asserted before adding.
“We respect Police FC but we have plenty of belief. It will be tough on Saturday but hopefully we can get the job done.”
Vipers will be at home ( St.Mary’s stadium) to Police FC today in the Uganda Cup round of 32 encounter.
The venoms are seeking to win their second Uganda Cup title after the maiden triumph in 2016.
