Medical personnel from Uganda and Kenya at Apopong Health Centre III on weekend helped deliver the second Tarehe Sita 2018 child in Pallisa district where Ugandan and Kenyan medical personnel are treating the population as part of armed forces week activities.
Born to Betty Apolot 19, the child and the mother managed to make it out while in good health.
The parents decided to name her after the Kenyan nurse.
While visiting the mother and the child, Brigadier Kashura Kyomukama noted that Armed Forces services to the public should be exemplary to all and wished the mother and the child good health.
Last week, UPDF doctors led by Col Dr Stephen Kusasira and Maj Dr Richard Katungyi helped to deliver a baby boy weighting 4Kg born to a 20 yr old Biba Kainza at Budaka hospital.
The two Doctors performed a Cesarian section immediately after analysing the condition of the mother .
